UCC Europe will present on recent, comprehensive acid gas and mercury reduction demonstration tests on coal-fired power plants utilizing Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI) and Activated Carbon Injection (ACI). These technologies have been proven in long-term utility applications in the United States, and the number of applications in Europe continues to grow as compliance with IED requirements nears. This presentation will include one case study highlighting full scale testing in Europe for acid gas removal using sodium bicarbonate, and one case study for a comprehensive mercury reduction test at an EU lignite fired power plant using various activated carbon products.
