The level of improper payments has been increasing at many agencies and continues to be identified by GAO as a high-risk area. We’ll examine improper payment monitoring, challenges in identifying such payments, challenges in meeting required improper payment reduction targets,and efforts to curb non-compliance through the adoption of best practices.
