The programs and books on high-rise response offer varying strategies, but none offers a combination of the civilian side and the emergency response side, or they give the same insight for mitigation efforts from both sides. This interactive class stresses that preparation from both sides is critical, based on lessons learned from previous operations and tragedies. The more information shared, the better the outcome in emergencies. Emphasis is also on effective methods for implementing a successful high-rise fire safety management program and the types of response guidelines necessary to effectively respond to emergencies in high-rise structures.
