This class challenges leaders to think critically about risk in both a quantitative and qualitative fashion. It identifies best practices that inform on risk in ultra-competitive endeavors outside the fire service while also examining anecdotal evidence that challenges conventional wisdom about risk management. Leaders are informed and encouraged to develop a risk-management philosopy and model that is responsive to tactical and operational events during the preparation and execution phases.
