A variety of OEMs have developed robots to avoid pulling the rotor for inspection. The latest technology supports inspections with equivalent capabilities to rotor out inspections. Based on the performance of robotic inspections with the latest technology, GE has made modifications to inspection intervals and scope. This presentation would discuss how GE used robotic performance to drive improvements in our robots and at the same time modified our inspection recommendations to save customers money while maintaining reliability.
