Wearables: Workshop(s) (Room Tampa Convention Center:Room 18-19)

The workshop collaboration activity will focus on the diverse applications of wearable technologies. Participants will discuss how current wearable technologies have had an impact on an industry and what future advancements they envision in that field. Workshop participants will split into small groups, and each group will be assigned an industry that has exciting potential applications for wearable technology. The groups will have 40-45 minutes to brainstorm and discuss suggested questions such as: 1) Overview of the wearable use cases in that industry and their importance 2) Brainstorm future wearable solutions to open challenges in that field 3) Identify critical barriers to the adoption of wearables in that field and brainstorm solutions to overcome those barriers At the end of the workshop, groups will present highlights of their discussions to the larger group. These presentations should serve to stimulate new ideas and solutions for how wearable technology can impact numerous use cases and industries.
