Advancing the state-of-the-art in information technology (e.g., cybersecurity and biometrics), the Department of Commerce / National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) accelerates the development of systems that are reliable, usable, interoperable, and secure; advances measurement science; and conducts research to develop the measurements and standards supporting emerging technologies. In this session, Dr. James St. Pierre (Deputy Director, Information Technology Laboratory (ITL)) will describe a number of identity-related programs being led by ITL: Biometrics, Identity Credentialing, National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE), National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC), and Privacy. A panel will follow Dr. St. Pierre's address comprised of NIST stakeholders who benefit from participation in these programs.
