A perennial hit at Mensa gatherings, this card game combines elements of Scrabble and Poker. Use your letter cards to make words or straights or flushes, and score the number of points indicated. Multiply your word/straight score by 2 or 3 for each card showing 2 or 3 stars. Double your word/straight score if all cards are the same color. Build on recently-played words and straights to increase your score, or ‘shave’ points from your opponent’s play by showing one or more matching letters, or lay down your Joker card to wipe out a recent high-scoring play.
