One of the world’s greatest maritime museums is in San Diego. The Museum’s volunteer maintenance and sail crew is dedicated to preserving not only historic ships, but also the skills required to sail those ships. David will talk about maintaining and crewing the Museum’s tall ships, including the 1863 barque Star of India, the world’s oldest actively sailed ship, and San Salvador, a replica of the first galleon to explore the coast of California.
