The DoD Joint Information Environment (JIE) Architecture provides consolidated multi-tenant/multi-operator network services and monitoring environments in centralized locations through the Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS). COCOM/Service/Agency (C/S/A) customers may have concerns that they lose visibility by concentrating monitoring only to the JRSS stack traffic. This presentation discusses options for deploying network monitoring capabilities beneath the JRSS Stacks, either 1.) on Base, Post, Camp, Station (B/P/C/S) enclaves directly connected to JIE circuits (SITE), or 2.) across an intermediary COCOM/Service/Agency (C/S/A) customer Wide Area Network (WAN), that meet requirements C/S/A customers have for monitoring traffic not consolidated at JRSS.
