This poster session will highlight the burgeoning role of social media in professional counselor advocacy. The presenters will synthesize counselor advocacy resources (the ACA Advocacy Competencies, the Chi Sigma Iota professional advocacy tips, and Trusty and Brown’s advocacy model for school counselors) with literature supporting professional use of common social media applications to provide strategies and tips for counselors, counselor educators, and graduate students.
