All new counselors must experience the transition from student identity to professional identity. This transition may come with feelings of grief and loss, as they let go of the old identity and move forward with the new. This poster session introduces a three-stage model of identity transition and corresponding creative interventions to advocate for a strong professional counseling identity and ease the transition from student to practitioner.
