ID #269-Effects of School-Wide Positive Behavior Support at a K-12 Alternative Public School (Room 513C)

School-wide positive behavior support (SWPBS) has been used in traditional school settings, mostly at the elementary school level. A review of the literature reveals that there have been no studies using SWPBS at a K-12 alternative public school. This 4-year study was conducted at a K-12 alternative public school to address the gap in the literature. The session will include an SWPBS overview, a brief literature review, and the 4-year study, including method, results, and findings. Attendees will receive this information in a handout and also suggested websites regarding SWPBS and Positive Behavioral Intervention Support.
