Career decision making is a complex process that often times is accompanied by mental health concerns. Cognitive information processing theory is a well-established approach within the career counseling field, one that includes consideration of mental health concerns. In this session, we present recent research findings examining the connection between career and mental health, as well resources and strategies for identifying and working with clients who experience concerns in both areas concurrently.
