TW-13: Building Intelligence in Electrical Design and Construction (Room Technical Workshop Room 2)

09 Oct 16
2:30 PM - 3:20 PM

Tracks: Technology, Process & Innovation

This session will explore new tools to assist with electrical design and construction workflow in AutoCAD/Revit.  Build intelligence in conduit and cable routing with accurate bill of material.  Come see how electrical contractors can finally begin to use the intelligence that is built into the design model.  Attendees will learn to extract raceway and cable lengths directly from intelligent 3D model; automatically route raceways and cables in AutoCAD and Revit; generate raceway installation tickets and wire pull & termination tickets; generate intelligent one-lines and control schematics and remove the coordination barrier between the one-line and 3D model – changes in the one-line are immediately reflected in the model layout.
