Abstract:
Lockheed Martin has diverse needs in Flexible Hybrid and printed electronics, for platforms that span our four business areas for operational environments that include sea, air, land and space. FHE represents a set of enabling technologies that is disruptive in terms of previously unrealized form factors for more conventional electronics. In an industry constrained in terms of size, weight, space, and cost, it will provide unique solutions to these drivers for Lockheed Martin platforms. A common challenge to defense platforms is the need to operate in extreme environments. This presentation will provide a high level overview of Lockheed Martin’s perspective on FHE and printed electronics, use-case scenarios, and potential hurdles that must be overcome to facilitate adoption for defense platforms.
