Abstract:
For additive manufacturing (AM) to grow, it must transition towards the creation of finished parts that serve the $11.5 trillion global manufacturing market. Until now AM has focused on mechanical parts, leaving the electronics market largely untapped. To be fully accepted as an electronics manufacturing tool, there are 4 key challenges that AM needs to overcome: an expanded materials palette, co-printing of multi-materials, functional parts, and high throughput. Voxel8 is working to realize the production of functional electronic parts at scale.
