As everyone interested in science knows, dark energy is the biggest problem in astrophysics with various organizations and governments spending billions of dollars attempting to understand it. Physicists say this mysterious anti-gravity force comprises 75% of the universe but they have no idea what causes it or where it comes from. I suggest that the effects interpreted as dark energy are really caused by energy absorbed by the light we see through processes in string theory. The presentation describes this reasoning in a pictorial way. Interested Mensans familiar with string theory math may co-author a technical paper with me.
