Mensa Germany reaches out toward non-Mensa members with a couple of initiatives and ideas that could be easily spread to other countries. This interdisciplinary reach-out has improved communication and cooperations e.g. at academic (and other) conferences simliar to TED. The climax is the annual self-organized MinD-Academy uniting more than 250 students and (young) professionals in a youth hostel with a wide offer of lectures and workshops. Thus, Mensa Germany combines professional networking opportunities with personal contacts and gets Mensa members connected with leaders of diverse players in the civil society. Be inspired and copy our concepts.
