Come see Mensa archivist Stacey Kirsch's audio-visual program, "The First 50 years of Mensa in America," with live commentary by Andy Di Cyan, who was "present at the creation." One of the longest-tenured members of Chicago and American Mensa who's still very much ambulatory, Andy gave Chime and Interloc a running start by editing each publication for the first few years in the '60s. And he knew most of the people active from the beginning in Chicago, American and International Mensa (he was one of them). He knew Codella, Serebriakoff and other luminaries (some of dubious reputation) and had dinner at Margot Seitelman's house whenever he was in New York. He feels history has lessons to teach, but only if you're willing to listen. He says there's a lot of oral history on his "soft and squishy drive" and he promises to share some of it.
