This session will cover a broad range of current topics within the Columbia River Basin (Columbia Basin) in the U.S. The hydroelectric system in the Columbia Basin accounts for about 40% of the total hydroelectric generation in the U.S. These facilities are operated by the federal government, private utilities, and public utilities and cover a broad geographic region in the Northwest. Topics will include a status summary of the fisheries, water quality, and basin-wide water sharing issues as well as discussions on the status of the infrastructure and operations of the facilities within Columbia Basin.
