After this session, participants will be able to: 1) describe the epidemiology, genetic background, and natural history of Celiac disease in children and adults; 2) identify current and potential new biomarkers for Celiac disease; 3) recognize the role of gut microbiota in the development of Celiac disease; and 4) discuss the benefit of probiotic supplementation and the impact of a gluten-free diet on clinical outcome.
