After this session, participants will be able to: 1) list current and innovative clinical and laboratory practices for diagnosis and management of sepsis; 2) describe the benefits of implementing informatics tools that identify septic patients; and 3) discuss the collaborations among clinical, laboratory, and information technology teams that facilitate identification, data collection, and algorithm discovery in large cohorts of well-characterized sepsis patients.
