Online information about the status of fluids in industrial environments can maximize performance and minimize costs. MEMS based acoustic and optic sensors providing information of the physical and chemical characteristics of fluids will be analyzed, and how the combination of information coming from different sensors can yield on additional knowledge. The attendees will learn about MEMS acoustic and optic technologies and possible sensor designs for fluid characterization applications. Attendees will also learn how combinational sensing, acoustic, and optical sensors in this case, can be used to obtain a better knowledge of the overall status of the system analyzed. Finally, attendees will learn about the field of applications and the applications themselves where this technology could be used.
