This session will discuss the practical and theoretical qualities of using a reference quality light source for non-contact sensing of rotation, linear displacement, fluid qualities, surface qualities and color. Attendees will learn how to achieve faster resolution of rotational and linear displacement, how to verify an LED is producing light not just using current, how to embed a sensor into a design not just add it on, and how to save money.
