Speaker(s):
John Monteith, Product Technical Manager, Precision Measurement Technologies
Accurate low value capacitance measurement by traditional methods is difficult to implement. Measuring capacitance by time measurement reduces the impact of noise allowing high accuracy capacitance measurement with up to 22 bits of resolution, noise as low as 4 aF and current consumption as low as 4uA. By attending this session attendees will learn how it is possible to measure capacitance by using time instead of other methods and why it is beneficial to do so, learn how capacitance measurement by using time allows very high resolutions and reduced noise, learn how it is possible to measure capacitance in the time domain which drastically reduces current consumption over analog methods, and will learn how capacitance measurement by measuring time enables the construction of low power high accuracy sensors ideal for wireless applications.
