Bridging the Digital and Physical Worlds: Intelligent Sensor Hubs Add Awareness and Accelerate IoT Deployment (Room 103 AB)

For the IoT to deliver on its full promise, it will need to be built upon a fully configured ‘Internet of Awareness’ which bridges the physical to the digital worlds, filtering and aggregating granular environmental information, as well as interacting with autonomous controls that serve users’ real time needs. In this session, attendees will: learn the critical functions and elements needed to create the distributed, real-time Internet of Awareness that will enable the IoT, understand the need for sensor data aggregation and integration into autonomous control elements that are critical to achieving user satisfaction from IoT connected systems, and consider and examine the various system host options for the Internet of Awareness, as well as integration strategies formulated to bring the IoT into smart homes and smart buildings.
