Fitness-for-Duty testing is as much a safety issue as a human resources issue – if not more. Hiring aging workers blindly, without assessing a person’s physical condition and ability to perform the essential functions of the job safely, is risky and costly to the employer. It can jeopardize the safety of not only the worker, but also co-workers and potentially the general public. In this session, we’ll discuss how accommodations based on proper testing can enhance older workers’ ability to work safely.
