Have you seen an influx of melasma clients recently? Summer is here, and your clients with this condition may be turning to you for help as the heat rises! Melasma is a skin condition that can be confusing and difficult to treat. Alise Hassler, LE, CNC, practices in an integrative clinic using progressive vs. aggressive modalities to control melasma for her diverse clientele.

Many of our clients with melasma have tried multiple treatments with limited success. Understanding the anatomy and physiology of the melanocyte, and how it responds to external and internal stimulation, will arm you with information you need to develop effective treatment plans for your individual client’s skin type. We will discuss who gets melasma and why, effective melanogenesis inhibiting ingredients, and progressive peels and techniques that can be used on all skin types. A live demonstration of a melasma melanogenesis inhibition infusion treatment will conclude this highly informative class!
