Demand for high resolution, long-range and high accuracy object detection capability in low visibility, are factors driving the development and adoption of LiDAR technology. Until recently, LiDAR systems were too bulky, expensive and had moving parts. Advancements by Quanergy’s solid state LiDAR have made sophisticated mapping, object detection, classification, and tracking possible with these compact sensors that will become ubiquitous, particularly in the transportation, security, industrial automation and 3D mapping sectors.
