There are multiple skin conditions which arise as a result of hormonal imbalance. The health care professional will learn to recognize cutaneous manifestations of an excess or deficiency of certain hormones. Prompt recognition will allow for more appropriate and target specific therapy and to consider referral to the appropriate specialist as needed.
