Armpocket Enterprises, the fitness and active-lifestyle leader for eco-friendly carrying solutions, announced today the unveiling of its collaborative line of socially responsible, all-natural carrying solutions for the athleisure market at the Activewear Collective, August 1 through August 2nd, at the Anaheim California Convention Center.
Vice President for Strategic Planning and New Product Development for Armpocket, Mark Morgan, states that “For years, our customers have been asking us to create an eco-friendly carrying solution they can use beyond running, when at the gym, or enjoying other activities. After two years of research and evaluation of eco-friendly and cruelty-free, vegan fabrics—we finally found the perfect solution that meets our industry-leading standards for eco-responsibility, versatility, durability and comfort-- we concluded organic pineapple fabric was the answer.”
With its limited supply of this rare and natural fabric, Armpocket’s Danish designer Jytte Nielsen set out to design a carrying solution that met the customer’s desire for a fashionable, yet versatile, carrying solution fit for every occasion. Ms. Nielsen commented, “the organic pineapple fabric delivers a unique combination of the look and feel as well as durability and pliability like that of high-quality leather. There’s nothing like it here in the US.”
Jytte’s innovative and “eco-happy” design remains true to the traditional Danish flair for fashion and function. Worn crossbody, over-the-shoulder, or as a belt, Ms. Nielsen has named her organic, pineapple infused line of bags “QUOKKA” – named for the small, adorable, Australian marsupial, who carries their precious “Joeys” (i.e., babies) in their pouches—hands-free.
