National Workers’ Compensation and Disability 2017

Kids’ Chance of America is Proud to be the Official Charity at the 2017 National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference & Expo

Kids’ Chance of America could not be more excited to be an integral part of this conference. Our goal of assisting students affected by a parent’s workplace injury or fatality has always been supported by the NWCDC, and for that we are thankful.

The NWCDC has been the leading industry conference for workers’ compensation and disability management professionals for over 25 years. Not only is the conference an opportunity to network and meet others in the field, but also it is an unmatched environment for learning and community growth.

Kids’ Chance of America was formed for the purpose of creating and assisting Kids’ Chance organizations throughout the United States and other similar programs that share our mission and ideals. We currently have 39 state organizations, three affiliate groups, and seven states in the process of forming.

We believe that by investing in our children’s future, we can provide them with the tools and opportunity to be successful in the workplace, so that they can make a difference in the world. Since the inception of Kids’ Chance, state organizations have collectively awarded over 6,000 scholarships totaling over $18,000,000!

These incredible numbers would not be possible without the support of our partners. By expanding our presence across the country and getting involved with the community at the NWCDC, we know we are in the best place possible to meet our goal of raising more money for more kids.

Connecting with and identifying potential applicants can pose a challenge as the worker compensation systems vary from state to state. We’ve created our Planning for the Future program so that students of any age can be included. When the time is right to start thinking about attending any accredited post-secondary educational program, Kids’ Chance will reach out to make sure that student knows they can apply for a scholarship in their state.

In 2017, Kids’ Chance of America’s celebrated its 10th anniversary as an official, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We’ve been able to support thousands of students across the country since inception, but our work is never done. We envision a time when all children affected by a parent’s work related injury or death can pursue their educational dreams without financial burden.

Join us from December 6-8, 2017, in Las Vegas to become a part of the Kids’ Chance community, and help us achieve More Money for More Kids!
