Award-Winning, Gluten-Free Flour Sets the Stage for New Crusts, Pizza Snack Bites and Dessert Bars

Austin, TX – Smart Flour Foods, the leading provider of gluten-free pizza crusts to restaurants across the country, is launching an exciting lineup of ancient-grain based foodservice products at The International Pizza Expo, March 19-22, booth #1255. Each premium product is certified gluten free, crafted with the highest quality, clean ingredients, and features a delicious taste and texture that appeals to a mainstream audience. Inspired by the success of the company’s proprietary Smart Flour® blend made with sorghum, amaranth and teff, the following whole-grain offerings are already gaining industry recognition.


 

  • Tavern Style Crusts – Light in color, balanced in flavor, and harnessing the power of the ancient grain sorghum, this crust bakes up like a traditional white flavor crust and is slightly sweeter than the brand’s multi-grain option made with Smart Flour®. Available in 10” and 12” round sizes.

  • Dessert Bars – Back by popular demand, Smart Flour Foods is relaunching its decadent Chocolate Bomb Brownies and Salted Butterscotch Blondie Bars. Unleashing the power of ancient grains on decadent sweets, these crave-worthy products made with Smart Flour® come individually packaged for scannable counter sales or available in fully-cooked, slab-in trays, ready to cut and serve.   • Snack Bites – A modern  take on classic pizza rolls, these ancient-grain, gluten-free pizza bites come in three time-tested flavors: Three Cheese, Uncured Pepperoni, and Sausage-n-Pepperoni. Perfect for appetizers and kids’ menus, Smart Flour® Snack Bites are ready from oven-to-table in eight minutes, offering a convenience that operators highly value.
  • Hoagies and Buns – Smart Flour Foods is proudly showing buns and hoagies that feature an exceptional flavor you must try. Perfect for hot or cold applications, toasted or not, these ancient-grain, gluten-free breads are shelf stable up to seven days at ambient temperature.  Come by the booth for a taste.
