FROM SMALL TOWN ROOTS TO BUSINESS SUITS
--From small town Indiana to big time business deals, Darla Hall is adding adult (big kid) coloring books, My Pal storybooks, and a YouTube channel to her expanding line of children's activity books and apps. She is also adding the NBA and other leagues in 2018.
BIRMINGHAM, AL – In the Sports Zone (ITSZ) announced that it has added an adult coloring book line and digital products to it's expanding line of children's activity books. ITSZ will also be adding a line of NBA products, which will launch at the Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show. Starting with one hand-made book for a young sports fan during his long-term hospitalization after getting hit by a car, Hall realized that sports activities books could both entertain and educate children and their families. Darla’s one book for one boy has become In the Sports Zone’s (ITSZ) GO Series Activity Books. Hall has 30 MLB activity books, 32 NFL activity books, 40 college activity books, and will be adding the NBA and other leagues in 2018. Her product line includes 38 college team apps, which are interactive versions of the books. The GO Series has grown dramatically from two books—University of Alabama and Auburn—the first year to 160 titles this month.
“I started this company to put a smile on one child’s face as he was recovering in a hospital. I want to grow this company and continue helping children by providing educational tools centered around things that they love such as sports, traveling, education, and character-related brands,” said Darla Hall. “I am thrilled when I see children and adults enjoying something that I created as a gift.” Hall continues to give back by donating books to children in hospitals. In July, she hosted a party for children who have childhood cancer and other illnesses.
The children’s books includes 48 pages of drawing, coloring, fun facts, puzzles, games, dream team cards, writing prompts, stickers, and more. The adult coloring series includes 64 pages of therapeutic coloring pages geared towards the adult coloring fans who love their favorite sport’s teams, leagues and brands. The My Pal storybook series focuses on the team's mascot and their pal as they go on a campus adventure and then learn their ABC's. The YouTube shows mirror the storybook and feature animated mascots teaching children early education skills.
Hall grew up in a small town and loved playing sports. Standing 4'11 3/4", she was always the smallest player on her team. She never gave up and she utilizes that same work ethic in her business today. She went from small town roots to business deals and suits.

ABOUT DARLA HALL, CREATOR: In the Sports Zone, LLC, is the creation of Darla Hall, Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in the small town of Cloverdale, Indiana, where her favorite hobbies were sports and riding four-wheelers. Darla graduated from Ball State University, Indiana. She owned HallMarketing, LLC and has 25 years of experience in marketing. She wears high heels and business suits when necessary, however her favorite thing to do is to put on overalls, cowboy boots, and team gear to visit kids in hospitals. Known as Mighty Mo in elementary school, she would get up to bat and the outfield would move in. Then, BAM! Over their heads the ball would go. She was the smallest player on her high school volleyball team, but that did not stop her. Her dad put lines on the wall for Darla to jump and tap.
