Prickly Pear Seed Oil is a relatively new oil in the beauty world – but be ready, cause this oil is going to take the beauty world by storm. We are very excited about sharing this miracle oil. I discovered it 4 years ago in the medina of Tunis and it has been my beauty routine ever since. Accompanying our popular hammam towels FOCALPOINT HOME we are launching GLOW at NYNOW on August 10th
Prickly pear — a succulent that yields green, orange, and raspberry-colored fruit — is emerging as THE GO TO skin-care ingredient. Of any beauty oil on the market, prickly pear contains the highest percentage (88%) of unsaturated fatty acids, which are essential to stimulating healthy cell production and turnover. It also contains the highest level of tocopherol, or vitamin E, which protects the skin and helps it retain moisture. In fact it has 150% more vitamin E than Argan oil.
We are certified 100% organic by Ecocert. ECOCERT is an organic certification organization, founded in France in 1991. It is based in Europe but conducts inspections in over 80 countries, making it one of the largest organic certification organizations in the world. When you choose organic skincare, you are choosing products whose ingredients work with the sophisticated natural systems of your skin. Given the right nutrients, our skin has the ability to care for and mend itself. Our bodies use nutrients absorbed not only through food, but also through the skin.
How is our oil manufactured?
Made in Tunisia. Hand picked fruit. It takes 1000 Kilos of prickly pear fruit, nearly 30 kilos of Barbary Fig Seeds to obtain just one litre of this miracle oil, hence the work is truly a labour of love that requires removing seeds by hand, allowing them to dry and then cold pressing them before extraction. The sector contributes to the social development of several Tunisian regions, particularly since rural women are the main actors in the agricultural value chain.
YES we are both Cruelty Free and Vegan, this means that the product was not tested on animals AND it does not contain any animal ingredients and by-products. We will join PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies program, which shares information about cruelty-free companies and products with consumers.

The addition of Rose Geranium to our oil adds a beautiful scent. Used by the Egyptians for promoting beautiful and radiant skin, geranium oil is 100% natural and organic. FREE from parabens, sulphates, artificial colours, artificial perfumes, silicones, mineral oils. When the skin is already inflamed, irritated or itchy, it is important to use products that are gentle and that won’t cause already-sensitive skin to become more inflamed. Try to avoid harsh chemicals or toxic ingredients and opt for skincare that contains only natural ingredients.
