NY NOW® Summer 2019

Valentine Viannay's playful Furoshiki squares and leather straps, handmade section, both 1079

Furoshikis are square cloths folded into bags or used to wrap presents, it is an ancient japanese tradition. All products are made in San Diego by hand using natural products.

Valentine Viannay's has created a brand new line of fabric on cotton and linen, intended for multi purpose. The fabric square can be turned into a scarf, bag, picnic blanket or wrap an object like bottles of wine, a present, school books or also can be used simply as a table cloth.

The message is to use less disposable items like a plastic bag or wrapping paper and have a simple beautiful product that can be re-used and revamped in different ways depending on your project. Bringing ancient ideas in the modern day.

The 4 main furoshikis presented to NY Now for the first time are:

1- a snake and ladder european game board, it's a game printed on linen.

2- a playmatt for children from 3-8 years old.

3- Any of valentine viannay fabric line.

4- Recycled fabric art, cotton from the work table made into a piece of art.
