FORMULA ONE - NEW MICHI COLLECTION DESIGNED FOR SPEED

December 20th, 2018 – Active lifestyle brand MICHI will launch their Pre-Fall 2019 collection online and in stores in April 2019. Dynamic and bold, the collection is inspired by the adrenaline and danger of Formula One, and the curves and bright colours of the Sports Illustrated editorials of the early 90s. Figure-flattering and offering premium comfort, styles are intended to motivate and inspire women to enhance their mental strength, dedication and determination to overcome challenges and limitations.

 

Vibrant primary colors compliment and contrast classic MICHI black and white colors. Aerodynamic lines and color-blocking in leggings and bike shorts lengthen and slim the body to create the feeling of speed and excitement. Strategic mesh panelling and back cut-outs offer ventilation and style. Cropped hoodies and lightweight zip-up jackets provide the modern active woman with functional layers to move through a work-out and transition from the gym to everyday life.

ABOUT MICHI

Michelle Watson created MICHI in her NYC apartment with original designs that transformed the activewear landscape. She pioneered the fashion-forward athletic wear aesthetic with artfully placed mesh inserts, strappy sports bras and sophisticated cut-outs. These details, inspired by superheroines and a ‘90’s European designer aesthetic have become MICHI signatures.

 

Styles are constructed with eight-way stretch nylon fabrics, with quick drying properties. Sustainable BlueSign® and Oeko-Tex® certified fabrics are selected out of commitment to conscious production. The design and manufacturing centre is now based in Toronto, Canada.
