WICHITA, Kan. - January 18, 2019 - BG introduces the new BG Hybrid Performance Service, the first in the industry to offer a maintenance solution exclusively for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs).
HEV design offers the performance of a gas-powered engine with the benefits of an electric vehicle (EV). Although an HEV reduces emissions and improves fuel efficiency, its traditional combustion engine requires regular maintenance like any other vehicle.

The combustion engine powers the HEV at high speeds. High temperatures and pressure bake deposits on combustion chambers and piston tops. Enough deposit buildup eventually flakes off. Damage to cylinder walls causes a compression change and power decreases across all cylinders.
The electric motor is incapable of producing enough power to compensate for this loss because it only operates at lower speeds.
