LEGRAND TO SHOWCASE PRODUCTIVITY-ENHANCING SOLUTIONS AT NECA 2019

Booth #1553

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - September 14, 2019 – At the 2019 National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Show, Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and network infrastructure solutions, will showcase innovative products to enhance job-site productivity. The show will be held from September 14 - September 17, 2019, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Solar Charging Kit, set to debut at this year’s show, is Legrand's latest offering in its line of outdoor power solutions that deliver safe, permanent power outside. With a clean, sleek aesthetic, the Solar Charging Kit quickly, and easily, adds USB charging for mobile devices to commercial and hospitality outdoor spaces without the time or hassle of a full construction project. Each kit includes a solar panel assembly with battery, all necessary wiring, a mounting collar and three charging shelves. Shelving units offer two USB-A ports that are illuminated and protected with a sliding cover, keeping connections safe from all types of weather. The Solar Charging Kit can be added to any standard light pole with a 4” diameter. The kit provides 3.1A of charging per pair of USB ports and can power up to 15 fully depleted devices.

The Legrand booth will also feature select products from its Pass & Seymour®, Cablofil® and Wiremold® product lines meant to enhance productivity and safety on job sites. Those who visit the booth will also have the chance to participate in the ‘Wheel of Tray Giveaway’ for the chance to win several prizes.

“As contractors continue to face the challenges of compressed timelines, budget concerns and an overall decline of skilled labor, we are focused on becoming a go-to resource that provides easy and effective electrical solutions,” says Kevin Kohl, senior product manager at Legrand. “This year, we are looking at how we can help maximize productivity outdoors, while giving contractors a variety of product options for both retrofit installations and new construction projects.”

Other featured products include:

  • Cablofil Wire Mesh Cable Tray: Cablofil Wire Mesh Cable Tray is an opencable management system that’s easy to design, specify and install. Electrical contractors can save time installing MC cable in wire mesh cable trays compared to using standard wiring in EMT conduit.

  • Wiremold Prewired Evolution™ Poke-Thru Devices: Evolution Series Poke-Thru Devices offer a range of capacity options to solve open space challenges in the most demanding environments. Recessed connections and covers that open a full 180 degrees - with ingenious sliding doors - keep wires, connections and people safe.

  • Cablofil EZE-Fab™ with PlugTail®: Reduce both time and labor with EZE-Fab Prefab Assemblies and Wall Box Mounting Components. Available in pre-configured combinations that satisfy the majority of commercial rough-ins, these assemblies reduce time wasted on repetitive work. PlugTail Electrical Wiring Devices provide added flexibility and the option to make changeouts and upgrades quick and easy (up to five times faster installation) to ensure code requirements are met now and well into the future.

In addition to its new product launches, Legrand will also support education at NECA with the

Augmenting Businesses with Prefabrication” Technical Workshop on Monday, Sept. 16 from 3:00-3:50pm.

Augmenting Businesses with Prefabrication

NECA Tradeshow Floor, Room 1 | Speakers: Bob Crain and Kevin Kohl

Prefabrication is a growing trend among electrical contractors and is becoming increasingly important to stay on time, on budget and relevant in local markets. Prefabrication also allows for electrical contractors to realize the tangential benefits of improved safety and coordination with other trades through BIM and standardization. This session will identify characteristics of strategic manufacturer partners and will explain how prefabrication can increase contractor productivity, to identify opportunities that can increase profitability.
