Years ago, Jesse James began building bikes in his mom's garage. Building his shop from scratch, James and West Coast Choppers is now known throughout the world through his craftsmanship, artistry, and philanthropy. His television shows and appearances have been seen on NBC, Discovery Channel, Spike TV, History Channel, and many more.
A self-described "glorified welder," James took on the challenge of creating the CFL 2 chassis.
A standard motorcycle frame usually has around 4 linear feet of welding. The CFL 2's folded metal design has approximately 50 feet of welding! Jesse James took on the challenge, knowing it would be a case of "I did it because I can" and the results are gorgeous.
One of CTEK's Road to SEMA Influencers, F7LTHY, took the chassis from West Coast Choppers and performed their magic on it. The creative experts at F7LTHY cut and widened the chassis to accept a 240mm rear tire, hand-formed all the sheet metal, and fabricated the handlebars, exhaust, controls, and seat.
They completed the project with a candy orange and variegated gold leaf paint job and it's now known as the CLF 240.
