Merino Wool Expert at Point6 Make The Best Base Layers Ever

Steamboat Springs -- Merino wool pioneers and experts at Point6, who designed the best wool socks ever®, are introducing the best mid-weight base layers ever (240g), with 100% premium merino wool, state-of-the-art knitting technologies and innovative comfort fit features.

"Point6's introduction into the base layer market has been very well received, because our base layers demonstrate our passionate commitment to providing premium merino wool apparel through innovation and design," said Point6 CEO, Peter Duke. "We select the finest wool, use yarn spinning technology that makes garments that are soft to the touch and don't pill and have maximized comfort in design, so our customers can venture out with confidence in the ability of their base layers to perform no matter the conditions."

Point6 selects only fine micron merino wool (18.5) for its base layers, resulting in a soft touch that performs and feels better than any other fibers. Merino wool base layers actively move moisture away from the body and regulate body temperature, for a garment that provides all-day comfort in the elements.

For a good feeling you can rely on, Point6 uses only compact spun wool, meaning the fibers in the yarns are more secure and will stand up to whatever test you put them to. Compact spun merino wool yarn is more durable, doesn't pill (little balls on some fabrics), and is softer and less bulky. Point6 base layers are form fit. Tops have shoulder panels that eliminate top shoulder seams and flat lock seams that prevent chafing and rubbing, and bottoms feature comfortable waist bands that prevent itch and discomfort and the same flat lock seams. All garments are UPF +50.

With an extreme focus on function and comfort, Point6 brings the best base layers ever to market and invites you to give them a try. Find out more at Point6.com.
