Hydra Light International Introduces Award-Winning Back-Up Power Device and Launches Company Re-Brand

Melbourne, Australia, January, 2019 – Hydra Light International Ltd. is proud to announce the launch of its innovative Power Cube product featuring a virtually infinite shelf life. Powered by Hydra Cell’s groundbreaking Hydra Cell Fuel Cell technology which harnesses the power of water and air to activate the cell and generate enough power to provide full phone charges. The award-winning Power Cube will feature heavily on the company’s newly designed website (www.hydracellpower.com),part of a larger brand overhaul launching in conjunction with the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Denver, CO, USA. 

“We have a lot of exciting momentum right now, and the timing is right to take our brand to the next level” said Brian Dunster, Director of Sales and Marketing.  The company is formally launching its new brand Hydra Cell and an all new website in January 2019, followed by new product packaging and marketing materials throughout 2019. The new Power Cube will be a key part of the re-brand as we begin to focus on emergency/preparedness, off-grid and humanitarian applications for our Hydra Cell Fuel Cell technology.

“The Power Cube is an exciting technological breakthrough for consumers who need a reliable back-up power source that can be stored for years without diminished power output. Never before has there been a back-up power solution that is activated instantly to full capacity, simply by dipping in water” says Dunster.

The Power Cube contains a proprietary membrane cathode, electronics and a patented design that improves application performance. It includes USB and DC outputs and will power an optional LED Flood Light for hundreds of hours of area lighting.

Industry leaders have taken note of the groundbreaking product as well, naming the Power Cube a 2018 Outdoor Retailer Innovation Award Finalist, an honor bestowed to an elite group of product innovators judged on factors including design, functionality, sustainability and impact. “The Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards aim to inspire, and this inaugural list of 32 finalists are doing just that,” said Marisa Nicholson, Outdoor Retailer vice president and show director.
