Avon, Colorado. December 7, 2018—For 23 years Sportube® hard cases have been the tried and trusted method for transporting and protecting valuable ski and snowboard equipment when traveling. This show season, to better suit our Alpine racers and nordic skiers out there, Sportube has rolled out two new revamps for 2019: the  Ski Shield and the Wanderer Ski Bag. Both bags now come in lengths 20-22 cm longer than the original 190 cm length. The Ski Shield now comes in a 212 cm and the Wanderer comes in a 210 cm length. More skis and longer skis need more room to get to the next race.

Sportube was launched by Paul Hields at the SIA show in Las Vegas in 1995. Three successful years after the launch of the original Sportube travel cases, the company introduced snowboard travel cases (1998) and fishing travel cases (2001). Known worldwide for its Made in USA, hard plastic protective ski, snowboard, and fishing cases, Sportube has been making reliable luggage transportation solutions for 23 years. This year, Sportube has a solution with even more room than ever for your winter gear, Sportube ensures you’re the most equipped to hit the slopes season after season. Boot bags, ski/snowboard tubes, traveling rolling duffles, airline compliant carry-on bags, kids’ boot bags, and heated boot bags all make for a full line of winter storage and travel gear.

2019 Product News

210 cm Ski Shield Ski Bag

This year we have taken our original Ski Shield bag and tailored it to better meet the needs of ski racers and nordic skiers who are looking for as much protection as a soft bag can offer. The bag had originally come in a length of 190 cm and we are now offering the same great bag in a 210 cm length. The Ski Shield has the capacity to hold two or three pairs of any type of skis as well as other gear, and/or two snowboards with bindings attached. The bag is fully airline and check-in compliant, and features extra protective Gear Shield™ technology, which is a hard plastic sheathing at either end wrapped in foam padding to keep gear protected during travel. The Ski Shield comes in a choice of six different colors: Green/Black, Orange/Black, Blue/Black, Green Plaid, Blue Camo, and Paisley.

MSRP $239.95

212 cm Wanderer Ski Bag
The Wanderer Ski Bag has been extended to 212 cm in length (up from its original 190 cm length) to meet the needs of cost-conscious ski racers and nordic skiers. This bag is an incredible way to protect gear while you’re on the go, at a very easy price point. The Wanderer comes equipped with a detachable shoulder strap, a large zipper to easily access your skis, and a large easy-grip handle on the top of the bag. The bag comes in three different colors:
Green/Black, Orange/Black, Blue/Black.

MSRP: $79.79

Although Sportube is sold in over 35 countries, the team at Sportube has kept their small business ethos and still believe in personal attention. “When you call our offices, the phone will be answered by one of our staff members,” says Hields. “Give us call. We are here!”

Sportube will be attending the International Outdoor + Snow Show at the Denver Convention Center, January 30thth- February 1th at Booth #44003-UL (upper lever near the main door entrance).
