Global Design Brand Nude Presents its Award Winning Collections at NY NOW

From the 3rd of February, Nude will showcase its iconic and award winning collections at NY NOW. Acclaimed collections Beret, Layers, Pigmento, Blade, Stem
Zero with Ion Shielding Technology and Parrot will all be on display at the US home, lifestyle and gift fair this February.

Beret ” collection by German design talent Sebastian Herkner is inspired by the iconic French hat. Herkner’s refined pieces consist of colourful, sleek, brass-lidded
vessels, remarkable for their elegant, effortless simplicity. Notably, “Beret” recognised for its remarkable design - was awarded a ‘Special Mention’ award by
the 2019 German Design Award programme. The ‘Layers’ collection designed by Defne Koz consists of three blown-glass vessels
in graphical forms that nest together, letting their various translucent hues overlap.  “Layers”, recognised for its outstanding and innovative design, has recently been
awarded the Gold Award by the 2019 German Design Award. Alongside “Beret”and “Layers”, Nude will also showcase Tomas Kral’s playful and exotic jug and
tumbler set “Parrot”.

A popular collection that celebrates the wabi-sabi trend, “Pigmento”, designed by Italian design duo Studio Formafantasma, re-interprets a traditional hand-makingtechnique, used to add hue to glass in the process of mouthblowing an object.  Through the milky material, amorphous accents of colourful pigments are blown,
smoke-like, emphasising the serendipity and uniqueness of each piece. A must-see during NY NOW.

Playing on glass’ innate material contradictions, the “Blade” vases to be presented juxtapose soft and hard, smooth and sharp, in a single object. Inspired by the art
world’s explorations into sheer overlain colour, “Blade” gives a nod, in particular, to the work of artists, whose works relies on the overlap of transparent hues.

Nude’s simple and elegant range of highly sophisticated stemware, S tem Zero with Ion Shielding Technology will be also be exhibited. By experimenting with
strengthening techniques and suppressing the micro-fissures that cause glass to crack, Nude has employed a special surface modification technology, based on an
ion-exchange process, making the glasses more robust and more suitable for everyday use. Following Nude’s ethos of keeping things simple and beautiful, the
German Design Award Bronze winner and Red Dot awarded S tem Zero range consists of 11 glasses; each designed to enhance the experience of different wines.
