Sunshine State’s mission is to spread the sunshine philosophy while preserving what they love most about the Florida lifestyle. They support wildlife conservation efforts in Florida by donating a part of all proceeds to the Florida Wildlife Corridor to help #KeepFLWild.
The brand’s “Sunshine State Strong” design was created to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Key West after Hurricane Irma. When Hurricane Michael devastated the panhandle, Sunshine State brought the design back and donated 100% of the profits from all “Sunshine State Strong” items to the All Hands and Hearts Smart Response non-profit to help those recovering after the storm.
Sunshine State® was born out of the passion for Florida, the Floridian way of life and the desire to protect the wild places and animals of Florida. Former Oprah Show producer,Chelsea McMillan, has lived in several areas around the country. But Florida kept calling her home. When she returned, she realized there was a need for a vintage inspired apparel brand that represented the love that so many feel for the Sunshine State.
