New Brand Waxhead Debuts Line of Eco-Safe Sun and Skincare Products

Waxhead Sun Defense is pleased to announce they will be exhibiting at Surf Expo, the world’s largest and longest-running boardsports and beach/resort lifestyle trade show. The three-day event will be held January 10-12, 2019 at the Orange Country Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Husband and wife team Kari and Shannon Kenner launched Waxhead Sun Defense out of Amelia Island, Florida, after realizing how unsafe most big brand sunscreens were, even so-called healthy versions, which contain petrochemicals that contribute both to the destruction of marine environments and the ongoing skin cancer epidemic.
Waxhead Co-Founder Kari Kenner explains, “Hawaii’s recent ban of certain sunscreen petrochemicals highlights two predominant skincare trends: consumers are reading skincare labels, wanting to be knowledgeable of the ingredients they’re putting on their skin, and they’re deciding to pay more for quality sunscreen that will actually protect them and not harm the planet.”
