Dippin’ Daisy’s Swimwear Launches Fall Collection

Showcasing Styles to Flaunt for a Midnight Swim

Los Angeles, CA (October 4th, 2018) —Dippin’ Daisy’s launched their new fall collection this week, “After Hours,” promoting styles to wear in the moonlight and is available for purchase on their website. Filled with darker jewel colors and their signature silhouettes, the collection is sewn from a buttery, soft fabric and premieres styles like the Knotted One-Piece and the Ruffle Bikini. The female-operated company takes an unconventional approach to swimwear marketing by releasing this collection out of season and promoting its wear for a midnight swim.

The photo shoot for “After Hours” took place in Australia and features a blonde model splashing, laughing, and posing in front of a pitch-black horizon. Dippin’ Daisy’s owner, Elaine Tran, and creative director, Rose Montoya, are the designers behind the forward-thinking trends of this collection. Montoya described that “After Hours” is a much sexier look for the brand, but still features styles with moderate coverage for younger and more conservative shoppers.

“We really put our heart and soul into this collection. ‘After Hours’ is all about showing your wild side, it’s about coloring outside the lines and living with no regrets,” Montoya explained. “It’s about sneaking out for a night swim with friends or having a steamy one-on-one jacuzzi session that special someone.”

Dippin’ Daisy’s classic bikini cuts are revisited in darker colors like Garnet, a deep maroon hue, and Jewel Blue, a periwinkle tone. Glamazon, the collection’s new print, has a maroon base with white and powder blue flowers and a thin, black stem. At certain angles, Glamazon looks like a leopard print, which Montoya said was planned to reflect the collection’s wild and unexpected nature.

The Knotted One-Piece—one of three new designs in the collection—features a rounded neckline, triangular side cutouts, and a gathered, knotted middle. Exposing the brand’s naturally feminine look, the Ruffle Bikini Top has a deep v-cut neckline, ruffle detailing and adjustable ties. Retail prices of the “After Hours” collection range from $39-54 for a bikini separate and $66-84 for a one-piece. Wholesale prices can be found as low as $13 for a bikini separate and as high as $22 for a one-piece.

The brand is recognized for its sharp price point and US-manufactured products by customers across the globe. The swimwear company makes a majority of profit from B2B sales, providing wholesale and private label services, while rapidly increasing their retail sales over the last year. Dippin’ Daisy’s target retail demographic is women ages 18-30 living in the United States but still ships to customers worldwide. Dippin’ Daisy’s has gained momentum this year, selling designs on e-commerce websites like Doll’s Kill, LuLu’s and Galeries Lafayette.

It’s been a busy year for the Los Angeles company, creating over a thousand new designs, releasing six collections, and exhibiting in six swim shows across the country like Miami Swim Show and Magic. In addition to the Dippin’ Daisy’s brand, Tran owns a swimwear line called “Ris-k” geared towards a more sophisticated demographic featuring revealing cuts and mature colors. Tran, Montoya, and the rest of the Dippin’ Daisy’s team aren’t slowing down anytime soon—the 2019 resort and spring collections are available for pre-order now and a plus size collection is on its way.

“We create every collection with our customer in mind and what she wants,” Tran stated. “If there’s a new cut we think she may like, we’ll add it. If there’s a style of ours we can make even better, we’ll do it. We want every customer to feel truly confident, comfortable and beautiful.
