WALLAROO HAT COMPANY MAKES EMPOWERING DONATIONS TO SKIN CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
BOULDER, Colo. – Wallaroo Hat Company is partnering with Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) and Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Research Foundation to raise public awareness on the prevention of melanoma. In honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month this May, Wallaroo donated UPF 50+ hats, accredited by the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Seal of Recommendation, for men, women and children to two main galas held by both foundations.
As a featured event in late April, Polka Dot Mama, Tracy Callahan, will host the Fourth Annual Taste for a Cure: Chef’s Gala on Sunday, April 28 . The featured keynote speaker, Dr. Jerome Adams, the 20th Surgeon General of United States, and his wife will be wearing a scrunchie in support of women who have lost their hair due to a medical condition. Press and guests are invited to witness the historic moment of new Guinness Book of World Records on Skin Screening created jointly by Wallaroo Hat Company and the foundation on Saturday, May 18 . The second event, the 8th Annual MRF Denver Gala will be on Thursday, May 2, at Mile High Station. Together with Gregory Papadeas, DO, FAAD, co-chair for this year’s event and founder of Advanced Dermatology, Wallaroo Hat company will join the event to honor David Norris, MD, head of Dermatology at the University of Colorado Denver for his 30+ years in teaching medical students and residents throughout the country.
