May 2019 - Roric Tobin Designs (RTD) will make its debut appearance at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) from May 19 – 22nd in New York City. As part of NYC x Design Week in Manhattan, RTD will showcase their new spring collection.
- CRANE CHAIR
- The clean lines of the Crane chair appear deceptively simple and hide the underlying complexity of the geometry involved. Taking their elegant shape from the most iconic origami form, they bring a sculptural drama.
- BAGUETTE SOFA
- The most striking detail of the Baguette sofa and chair is the deeply tufted, geometric upholstery. At once sumptuous and restrained, the lines are accented with rich wood on the arms and sides. Finishes shown: chenille upholstery with Macassar wood veneer accents.
- AGATA RUG
- The Agata rugs are crafted in the highest quality, dyed cow hides. These models are based on the slabs of the existing Solitaire side tables but could be made to correlate to a slab of your choosing. The designs could also be executed in a wide variety of available dyes or made to any size.
- SOLITAIRE TABLE
- Each Solitaire Table is unique because each starts with a natural slab of agate as its top. Once the slab is selected, the legs, in a combination of wood and hammered steel, grasp the slab like the setting of a piece of jewelry
- DIODE SIDE TABLE
- This perfectly round side table is wrapped in an elegant wood veneer with a simple metal band holding the glass top which reveals the interior of the table. The top can be glass, or a coordinating stone. Finishes Shown: Macassar veneer with a glass top on recessed polished stainless steel base. Diameter: 20 in. Height: 21 in.
- RIVER ROCK BUFFET TABLE
- The River Rock buffet features a cast glass top that recalls the rushing water that, over centuries, smoothed the stones at its bed, from which the cabinet takes its shape.
- RADIANT COFFEE TABLE
- The Radiant coffee table features an ambitiously oversized slab of geode, which is then lit from below – allowing the rich natural variations to glow through. Below are two shelves, one glass, one solid, framed in exotic veneer, which make the table supremely functional while serving as a stunning centerpiece to the room. Finishes shown: dark Caleidolegno wood veneer with an agate top.
- SIGNET SIDE TABLE
- The Signet Table showcases a heft of semi-precious amethyst, set into a base of crossing supports in exotic veneer [here shown in Grey Ash] with polished steel accents.
The line reinterprets furniture into functional art, making quintessential pieces with inherent beauty. It pairs exotic materials from all over the world, creating rich, visual textures from marble, wood grains and metal accents from places like South America, Asia, Europe and North America, allowing the materials to elevate the tone of an interior while staying true to the functionality of modern life.
